Shepperton Lunch
As seen through the eyes of Prince Rat Adger Brown...
Sunday the 16th July 2017 the annual gathering of Lady Ratlings and Water Rats at The Warren Lodge Hotel for Lunch, what a great day, the weather slightly overcast but humid, very warm with very little breeze but that did not stop the sold out crowd having a wonderful afternoon.
Water Rat Cliff Hall played through lunch and as ever was very much appreciated by all throughout his playing, as he took his leave the raffle was drawn, this took longer than the show with so many prizes but it did raise over 700 large coins for both orders which is great news for the charitable side of the afternoon.
PKR Kaplan Kaye and PP Bryan Burden gave their rendition of our traditional "one more chance" everyone as usual joining in the fun.
Onto the show, PKR Kaplan Kaye looking after proceedings introduced our Curator Ken Joy who gave a magical performance to open the show, this was followed by a good friend of our PKR Kaplan Kaye, Moon Williams, who sang 3 songs which got everyone going and their feet tapping, wonderful, then we had Brother Rat Duggie Brown who got the crowd roaring with laughter, great spot well executed and appreciated by all, it was then over to PKR Kaplan Kaye and our new Baby Rat Bill Dare otherwise known as "The Ukay Ukes" to finish the show, amazing, most of the lovely ladies present got up dancing until they finished, a great atmosphere, a laid back afternoon that was buzzing from start to finish, I along with my good lady had a great afternoon with wonderful company, i am looking forward to next year's lunch already.
