King Rat's Spring Message

Hi Everyone

Just a short note to link up with everyone, I don’t know if you have the same feelings as I do but with this ongoing Virus situation, things seem more positive and if you have seen the clip above, It is coming on for SPRING so let’s be HAPPY!I hope that you are all keeping well, and safe as can be, with all variations and changes of COVID-19. I also hope those who are eligible, qualify and also want the Vaccine, have managed to get at least one injection.

I having reached 80, had my first jab on December 21st, going today March 11th for the next one. This is causing a rift in our household, because Jackie is so much younger than I (13 Years in fact) She has had a letter but no appointment yet, I hope it will be soon for her, and peace of mind, but to help, I do the bit of shopping we need! But it has its advantages, because people open doors, and let the OLD CODGER go through first, then they trip me up as I pass through!!! AAAHHH!!! Help the aged week!!

And I also had to get shoes fixed, so I tried some Phillips Stick on Soles….but they are not as warm as shoes!!!! (You Never Lose It ,Do You?)

But it does seem to be going on a long time, although there are signs with the Vaccine and better weather, that we are past the worst. I just cannot wait for the next joyous time we can meet in Lodge, see all our mates and chat, augh and see eachother face to face, it should not be too long now - HURRAH!!!! We have tried to keep busy and occupying ourselves, but I know we all find it difficult. My Old Pub Landlord George always said “for working folk leisure time is the most difficult time to spend, unless you are born into it!” And he was correct.

On a personal note, I may have a bit of good news. I think they are making another series of GAME OF THRONES, and my office have put me up for the very good part of KING COVID the 19th! I think I will get it because I am fully qualified.

So my friends, It has been such a turmoil for us all with this Pandemic, but I have been very fortunate in life and been in the entertainment business for 64 years later this year, and I will not let a Pandemic, Virus, COVID 19 or anything thing else stop me trying to make people laugh and be entertained! The therapy of hearing laughter during your act, you first check to see your flies are zipped up, if they are zipped then enjoy the laughter along with the audience.

I am ready for Spring and the Summer. I know it will be such a pleasure getting some real sunshine. During the winter, I have had to use the SAUNA BATH, but I do not like Sauna Baths....The ladle burns you lips!! WAITS FOR LAUGHTER…….MOVES ON!Please KEEP WELL, KEEP SAFE,and always have a laugh, whenever you can.
