TREVOR BOANAS

BIOGRAPHY

Trevor Boanas brings warmth, civic pride, and genuine generosity to his role as a Companion Water Rat (Register No.955). With a welcoming spirit and a belly‑laugh to match, he’s known fondly within the Order’s ranks as someone who lives by the Rats’ mantra—"a jolly lot of fellows"

A proud local businessman and community champion, Trevor has used his influence to support a wide range of charitable causes. Notably, he’s a committed trustee of the
Daisy Appeal, which funds vital medical scanning equipment to detect cancer, heart disease, and dementia, raising critical resources for Hull and East Yorkshire. It was Trevor’s vision and generosity that helped bring the region’s celebrated "Mischief of Rats" sculpture trail to life, sponsoring ‘Pirats’ in Hull’s Theatre Square and contributing to a creative celebration that engages families while supporting medical research amischiefofrats.co.uk.

Trevor’s appointment as Companion Rat in 2025 reflects not just his charity work, but also the warmth, camaraderie, and community-minded energy he brings to the Order. Whether at black-tie dinners or informal gatherings at the Water Rats Museum, his enthusiasm is contagious—and a reminder that the heart of the Order lies in shared joy and generosity

As both a servant to his city and a spirited member of the fraternity, Trevor Boanas continues to echo the Water Rats’ legacy of laughter, fellowship, and giving back, with every event he supports and every life his efforts touch.
