
BIOGRAPHY
Steve is one of the most sought-after speciality acts in the U.K., regularly delighting audiences with his unique brand of comedy and music.
Having studied Banjo, classical guitar, and Trombone as a boy, Steve’s first professional engagements were in 1974 with the Dance bands of Sydney Lipton, Nat Temple, and Joe Loss. He was a resident at the Café de Paris for two years. Steve went on to gain his cabaret experience deputising with the legendary Kenny Ball and his Jazzmen and later reforming Don Lang and his Frantic Five.
In 1998, ‘Steve Galler and the Omnibus Jazz Band’ were honoured to play for the then ‘Prince of Wales’ (now King Charles III) 50th Birthday Party at Highgrove. This led to many more appearances for the Royal Family. Now celebrating more than fifty years in show business Steve has travelled the world entertaining on P&O, Cunard, Silversea, SAGA and CMV cruise liners and has toured Britain with many highly acclaimed Music Hall and Variety production companies including ‘Hiss & Boo’ ‘The Magnificent Music Hall’ ‘The Brick Lane Music Hall’ and ‘The Good Old Days’ at the City Varieties, Leeds.
Steve has been a proud member of ‘The Grand Order of Water Rats’ for twenty-five years. he is a Past Test Rat and has appeared in many of their fundraising shows.
