JOHN COURTENAY

BIOGRAPHY

Jon Courtenay is a multi-talented entertainer best known as the winner of Britain’s Got Talent 2020 – the first ever Golden Buzzer act chosen by Ant and Dec to go on and win the entire series.

A gifted pianist, singer, songwriter and comedian, Jon’s blend of heartfelt original songs and razor-sharp humour struck a chord with millions across the UK. His winning performance – a personal and uplifting musical journey – not only earned a standing ovation from the judges but cemented his place as one of the most unique acts in the show’s history.

But Jon was no stranger to the stage. With years of experience in theatre, cabaret, cruise ships and comedy clubs, he had already built a strong reputation as a seasoned live performer. BGT simply gave him the platform to show the world what audiences had been enjoying for years – a natural storyteller with charm, wit and bags of talent.

Since his win, Jon has toured the UK with his original shows, appeared on national television, and continued to write and perform songs that make people laugh, think and feel. Whether it’s a theatre full of fans or an intimate charity event, Jon brings genuine warmth and professionalism to every performance.

A proud Water Rat, Jon is not just an entertainer but a gentleman of the variety world – committed to making people smile, one note at a time.
