Jeff Stevenson, born Jeffrey Stevens on 3 March 1961 in Hammersmith, London, has spent nearly five decades mastering the art of live comedy. A proud Water Rat, member number 870, Jeff brings sharp wit, warm charm and seasoned professionalism to every stage he steps onto.
He made his first screen appearance in Bugsy Malone (1976), playing Hoodlum Louis, and quickly established himself as a popular warm-up act. Jeff became well known to TV audiences as the comedian at Rodney Trotter’s stag night and as PC Parker in the classic Only Fools and Horses Christmas special To Hull and Back.
On screen, Jeff has hosted ITV’s variety show Knees Up, set in a lively London pub, and fronted the daytime game show Jumble in the early 1990s. He also appeared in the 2020 film Touching the Blue, earning a Best Feature Actor accolade at the Los Angeles World Premiere Film Awards.
Live performance has always been Jeff’s home turf. He thrives as a corporate host, awards compère and cruise ship entertainer, supporting fellow Water Rat Tommy J at recent shows and regularly appearing at charity events.
Whether on stage, on screen or behind the mic, Jeff Stevenson remains a much-loved figure in British entertainment, known for his quick humour and his deep respect for the tradition of live performance.
