
BIOGRAPHY
King Charles III (born 14 November 1948) is the monarch of the United Kingdom and the other Commonwealth realms. Throughout his life, he has been a passionate advocate for charitable and humanitarian causes. Prior to his accession to the throne, Charles founded The Prince’s Trust in 1976, which has supported over a million young people to build their confidence and skills. He also established The Prince’s Foundation, which champions sustainability, traditional craft, architecture, and community development, alongside dozens of other charitable initiatives tackling social, environmental, and cultural challenges.
In recognition of his commitment to charitable work and support for the entertainment community, King Charles III is an honoured member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, one of the world’s most exclusive show-business fraternities. His affiliation with the Order reflects his lifelong interest in the performing arts and his appreciation of those who make a significant impact on society through entertainment and philanthropy.
