GARY LOVINI

BIOGRAPHY

Gary Lovini, known to many as “The King of Strings,” began his music journey at just eight years old in northern England and rose to fame by winning the British TV talent show New Faces at age 17. As a teenage violin prodigy, he quickly became a familiar face on national television, with performances on shows like Sunday Night at the London Palladium and the Royal Variety Performance, where he performed for the Queen.

His classical training, combined with a natural flair for showmanship, led to headline performances in some of Britain’s most iconic venues, including the Royal Festival Hall, Birmingham Symphony Hall, the Usher Hall in Edinburgh and the Royal Albert Hall. At just 16 years old, he performed aboard the QE2 and flew by Concorde to Rio, sharing the stage with legends like Neil Sedaka, Jack Jones and Rod Stewart.

Now based in Orlando, Florida, Gary continues to wow audiences as a headline performer on cruise ships, at corporate events, and in top entertainment venues. He has appeared on Royal Caribbean’s
Anthem of the Seas, at Disney’s Magic Kingdom, and at the Dr. Phillips Centre for the Performing Arts. Alongside his solo performances, he leads the high-energy pop-rock violin duo "Strings of Fire," blending classical technique with contemporary flair.

Gary is also a published recording artist. His album
STRING 80s reimagines classic 1980s hits with the electric violin, delivering a unique crossover sound that appeals to fans of all ages.

A proud member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, Gary has worn his Water Rat lapel with pride for over 25 years. In 2015, he and his wife were invited to Buckingham Palace to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Order, where they met Her Majesty The Queen and Prince Philip in honour of his longstanding contribution to show business and charity.

Whether delivering a heartfelt classical solo or firing up a stage with pop favourites, Gary Lovini brings a unique blend of skill, passion and stage presence. A true entertainer in every sense, and a shining example of what it means to be a Water Rat.
