BIOGRAPHY
Brad Fitt originally trained as a Stage Manager at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School and has spent his career wearing many hats — as a Stage Manager, Producer, Director, Writer, and Actor.
As a Touring Company Manager, Brad’s work has taken him everywhere from open-air theatres in Barbados to site-specific productions inside a fish processing plant in Reykjavik — and just about everywhere in between. His impressive list of managed productions includes The Glory of Gershwin with Larry Adler, Tartuffe with Stephen Tompkinson, Sleuth with Peter Bowles, Honk!, The Woman In Black, An Inspector Calls, Return To The Forbidden Planet, Bear In The Big Blue House, Playhouse Disney Live!, Roald Dahl's The Witches, Les Liaisons Dangereuses, The Graduate with Jerry Hall, Boyband, Lenny with Eddie Izzard, and two acclaimed one-person Dickens shows — Dickens' Women with Miriam Margolyes in Belarus and The Mystery of Charles Dickens with Simon Callow in London’s West End.
As a Producer, Brad’s credits are equally diverse. His work includes the spectacular Harley-Davidson 100th Anniversary Concert hosted by Dan Aykroyd, featuring Kid Rock, The Doobie Brothers, Tim McGraw, and Elton John. Other producing credits include Walking with Dinosaurs, Tolstoy, The York Realist, Rubenstein Kiss, The Royal Family, Telstar, Summer and Smoke, Mrs Warren’s Profession, Lenny, Lady Windermere’s Fan, Fiddler on the Roof, Epitaph for George Dillon, and Rent: Remixed.
During his time as Producer for Leicester’s Curve Theatre, Brad was responsible for an impressive catalogue of productions including The King & I, The Long Road, The Lieutenant of Inishmore, 42nd Street, Buried Child, One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest, Absurd Person Singular, Hello Dolly, Entertaining Mr Sloane, Obama the Mamba, Oliver!, The Butterfly Lion, Gypsy, Chicago, The Beauty Queen of Leenane, Sweeney Todd, The Dreaming, Hot Stuff, Piaf, The Sound of Music, Abigail’s Party, Rent, Annie, Hairspray, The Witches, The Twits, Grease, The Importance of Being Earnest, Sister Act, Breakfast at Tiffany’s, and Fantastic Mr Fox.
Brad has also independently produced and toured shows such as Crocodiles in Cream, My Dog’s Got No Nose, and his own one-man show celebrating the history of pantomime, We’ll Have To Do It Again Then, Won’t We?
Since 2018, Brad has served as Associate Producer and Tour Booker for PW Productions, one of the West End's leading theatre producers, known for hits such as Spirited Away, The Woman In Black, and An Inspector Calls.
A prolific writer, director, and performer of pantomime, Brad has written and directed countless productions — often appearing as Dame. His ten-year association with Cambridge Arts Theatre saw him writing, directing, and starring as Dame in their critically acclaimed pantomimes. His performances have earned national recognition, including being named among the UK’s best 'Ugly Sisters' alongside Matthew Kelly by The Sunday Telegraph, and being voted one of London’s top Dames on LBC radio.
Brad has also written numerous shows for children, including the popular Santa’s New Sleigh, which has toured every Christmas since 2009, and recently adapted Pirates Love Underpants for a UK tour.
Since 2010, Brad has been Director and Dame for Evolution Pantomimes at Shrewsbury's Theatre Severn. Alongside his pantomime work, he is a sought-after director for children’s theatre, with credits including Julia Donaldson’s Tales from Acorn Wood and Rod Campbell’s Dear Zoo.
Brad divides his time between London and Shropshire, where he lives with his partner, their two boys, and a lively menagerie of animals. Together, they have raised over £75,000 for their chosen charities: Hope House Children’s Hospice and Re Ya Gola — a non-profit in South Africa supporting over 300 orphaned children.
