BIOGRAPHY
Ben Simmons is the younger half of the much-loved variety duo Simmons & Simmons, performing alongside his father Keith. Born and raised in Dartford, Ben grew up backstage amid the buzz of pantomime and cabaret – a show business life that became second nature from an early age.
He made his professional debut at just eight years old, appearing as The Boy Babe in Babes in the Wood at the Orchard Theatre in Dartford. From there, he toured summer shows like Aladdin at Haven Holiday Centres and took on a range of panto roles, including Buttons in Luton, the Beast in Rotherham, and leads across the UK, building a solid foundation in live performance.
A talented academic as well as a natural performer, Ben studied Classics at Leeds University and later earned a postgraduate diploma from the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. But the real magic happened when he teamed up with his dad to form Simmons & Simmons – a fast-paced comedy and variety act blending sketch, music, and old-school charm.
Together, they’ve headlined top venues including Cromer Pier and the Winter Gardens in Margate. Their sharp timing and joyful chemistry have made them firm favourites with family audiences, and critics have praised their mix of gags, musical routines and comic energy.
Ben has racked up more than 25 pantomimes to date, many of them alongside Keith. They now tour with their hit family show The Feelgood Factor, bringing laughter, songs and silliness to audiences across the country. Along the way, Ben has shared the stage with legends like Neil Morrissey, Gary Wilmot and John Challis – but he’s more than earned his place in the spotlight as a top-class performer in his own right.
