Ben Goffe was initiated as Baby Rat No. 912 on 4 February 2018, marking his welcome as the next generation in a proud Water Rats family, The son of esteemed Water Rat Rusty Goffe, an iconic figure known for roles in Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory, Star Wars, and the Harry Potter series, Ben inherited both a love for performance and the honour of showbiz
A talented actor, musician, singer, and dancer, often embracing roles that highlight his distinctive stature, Ben’s screen credits include Artemis Fowl (2020), Stoner Express (2016), and The Heartsmith (2024) He’s also earned acclaim on stage, most notably performing as the Handyman in the West End’s hit The Choir of Man, where he described the experience as “hard work jumping about on stage for 90 minutes, eight times a week,” yet loved it for its “fantastic” crowds l
Within the Water Rats, Ben is celebrated not just for his performances but for his wholehearted commitment to the Order’s community. He proudly wears his badge with pride, attending monthly lodges and the annual Ball, where in 2018 he received the prestigious Rat of the Year award In his own words: “I'm now a member of The Grand Order of Water Rats, an organisation I've known about all my life and privileged to be part of.”
