ANDY EASTWOOD - RED COLLAR RAT
BIOGRAPHY
With ukulele, banjo, violin, guitar and piano, Andy Eastwood's act is an upbeat blend of dazzling instrumentals, foot-tapping songs and bright, breezy humour.
Having studied music at Oxford University, he made history as the only musician ever to give his degree recital on the ukulele,
and is now considered one of the world's foremost exponents of the instrument.
The legendary Ken Dodd gave Andy his break into theatre, and he has performed over 300 times with the great comedian, as well as working with stars such as Max Bygraves, Frank Skinner, Des O'Connor, and Roy Hudd. Andy's tour schedule of major theatres and cabaret venues prompted The Stage to call him "the busiest man in show business", and two award-winning summer seasons in Blackpool have earned him the title of the resort's "Top Solo Artist".
Andy's one-man show is a popular attraction on cruise liners and at music festivals worldwide, having recently taken him to Italy, Finland, Denmark, and the USA.
He is also a popular pantomime comedian. In addition to his stage performances, Andy produces traditional variety shows and presents an online radio programme called Andy's Attic.
He joined the Grand Order of Water Rats in 2016.
