ANDREW ROBLEY

BIOGRAPHY

Andrew started his career at the ripe old age of seven as head chorister at Carlisle Cathedral in the UK. From there he went on to star in ITV’s Religious Programme “Praise to Pop” for four years. It was here he made his first appearance before H.M the Queen Of course, as with all choirboys Andrew got to the age where his voice broke & at the age of 16 his now mature voice led him to win the BBC’s “Search for a Star” Competition, which gave him his own radio show.


Successful theatre and concert work followed, starring alongside many of Britain’s top stars. The musicals Carousel, Oklahoma & Brigadoon are just some of his successes. As well as recording 9 albums, Andrew has appeared regularly on television, most notably in such BBC programmes as Hi De Hi and Lovejoy, as well as numerous commercials and training films. You can hear him regularly on the BBC Radio 2 Show Good Morning Sunday.
Andrew has performed in America appearing in a Las Vegas Style Revue & on his return to Britain 5 months later he was invited to appear in the 1995 Royal Command Performance on the occasion of the VE Celebrations in London, attended by Her Majesty the Queen and all the members of the British Royal Family.
Since then he has been a firm favourite of the Royals, he was invited to sing for H.M Queen Elizabeth the Queen Mother on the occasion of her 100th Birthday and has been a regular in Royal Circles, singing for the HM Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee and at Windsor Castle for Prince Philips 80th birthday.
The Millennium saw him singing in the Holy Land for the Popes visit & in 2001 a concert season at the Opera House in Manaus. In 2003 he was chosen to sing for the King & Queen of Norway on Norway’s National Day in Bergen.


He was also honoured to sing for Britain’s Forces Sweetheart Dame Vera Lynn’s 90th birthday, attended by the late Queen and Baroness Thatcher.
Thanks to the cruising world Andrew’s voice has taken him all over the world. On May 6th 2008 during a concert in the United States of America (in the presence of The Spanish Royal Family) he was surprised with The Worldwide Entertainer of the Year award for 2007, He has since received the award for 2008 and 2009!
With numerous concert appearances worldwide including Sydney Australia, Rio de Janeiro in Brazil, Russia, New York & Canada and with Sir Cliff Richard in London


Andrew is always in demand and is constantly performing on the high seas on board some of the worlds most luxurious cruise ships.
He has appeared in many summer season theatre shows in the UK and is also a regular at the renowned “Brick Lane Music Hall” in London where he not only performs in the in house shows but appears as Dame in the annual “saucy” pantomimes.
