BIOGRAPHY
Al Murray is one of the UK’s most successful comedians, best known for his iconic creation, The Pub Landlord — a loud, proud, and deeply British character that has become a household name. With a career built on razor-sharp wit, pitch-perfect satire and an uncanny ability to read a room, Al has carved out a unique place in British comedy.
After studying at Oxford and dabbling in music, Al found his true calling on the comedy circuit. The Pub Landlord was born almost by accident, but quickly took on a life of his own. With a pint in hand and a patriotic rant at the ready, The Pub Landlord has sold out arenas, toured internationally and starred in multiple television series, including Time Gentlemen Please and Al Murray’s Happy Hour.
But behind the barstool bravado is a performer with incredible intelligence and range. Al’s work extends to serious documentary series, historical programming and political satire. He’s also an accomplished writer, podcaster and musician, with a genuine passion for history, performance and live entertainment.
As a proud member of the Grand Order of Water Rats, Al brings quick wit, big laughs and a generous heart. Al Murray is a true entertainer in every sense of the word.
